Dr. Rachel Carver

Dr. Carver attended Penn State University, receiving her B.S. in Life Science in 2008. She continued her education at Chatham University where she received a Master of Science degree in 2009. Dr. Carver earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2013. Following graduation, she completed a residency at the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Northport, NY specializing in primary eye care, vision therapy, and low vision rehabilitation.

Dr. Carver practices full-scope optometry for all ages including comprehensive eye exams, specialty contact lens fittings,ocular disease management and dry eye treatment. She has experience in low vision rehabilitation, pediatric optometry, including functional vision examinations and vision therapy, and treats patients with traumatic brain injury. In addition, she has a special interest in sports and performance vision training which consists of specialized vision training to enhance visual function and help athletes gain a competitive edge.

As a member of the American Optometric Association, the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, Dr. Carver is actively involved in the optometric community.

Dr. Carver resides in New Brighton with her husband, Chris, and their children, Blake and Christian. In her spare time, Dr. Carver enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active outdoors, playing volleyball, and traveling with her family.
